Features

  • Fire spread prevention putty (fire-resistant) for air conditioner piping.
  • Superior in fire spread prevention from wall penetration holes to interior.
  • By expanding 20 times larger by the heat of fire, the gap will be filled up with putty tightly and it prevents from fire intruding.
  • At Japan's Public Testing Institution, test on 1 hour fire-resistant wall was carried out assuming fire intrusion from the outside, and fire spread prevention has been verified.

Fire-Resistant Performance Test (Example)

*This performance test is an internal evaluation test, which is different from public testing.
Test piece was made on plasterboard as housing wall with pipes and drain hoses penetrated, making heated side to be outside and non-heated side to be inside.
"Fire Spread Prevention Putty TP" is each stuffed in 2 penetration holes and penetration Hole B (Interior) is combined with conventional type putty, "Sealant Putty for A/C AP"(Hole A= TP only, Hole B= TP+AP).
This is a test to verify the change in interior installation by heating after installation.

From intense heating, outside wall is cracked.
Red flame is burning, but this is caused by wood shaft burning inside the test piece.

By covering with Fire Spread Prevention Putty TP, it prevented fire from entering penetration hole A' & B'.
Since penetration hole B' (right) is combined with AP putty, smoke inflow is small.

Caution

  • Fill in 1 hole (under Ø70mm) with whole putty (160g) from the outside.
  • To prevent putty from deteriorating and rain intruding from the hole, please be sure to be covered with Wall Inlet of our SLIMDUCT SD series or equivalent.
